The weather outside is frightful . . .but so beautiful!

It's SNOWING!! Yay!

No fire to keep us warm, just the space heater. Still it is so beautiful and magical outside.

It is so sweet to see the neighborhood dogs running through the tall snow. Makes me miss my Daisy dog.

Here she is last Winter -

Our snow adventures started on Wednesday when we ventured to Portland to see the Grandparents. Getting down off our hill was pretty exciting. A little sliding here and there, Bryan asked "Ever take a truck skiing?" He thought it was funny. I on the other hand did not. Just as we got to the bottom a Sheriff was closing off the road. So onto Pdx we went, our truck in 4lo and the freeway really not too bad. We spent the night at Grandma's .

On Thursday Keoni, me and Grandpa and Uncle Kaliki got to hang out in the snow for a bit. Dad had stuff to do so I bundled up Keoni and out into the backyard we went. Grandpa taped us and got a few shots of Uncle Kaliki making the start of a snowman. Little did we know more snow was on it's way. Uncle Kaliki had made some tasty treats so we were set! We spent the night again and decided to brave the roads towards home Friday morning. It wasn't bad. We made it home safe and sound, even our hill wasn't hard to get up. Thanks to 4 wheel drive.

Tasty treats!
Back in from the snow at Grandma's

Saturday morning we woke up to a whole lotta snow! We went to try to get our oil changed and tires rotated in prep for our journey to Nevada but the shops were closed. So we bought a few essentials and headed back home. The scenery just beautiful. The snow getting higher and higher. By Sunday morning we had to have at least 1.5 feet of snow at our house.

Here's a photo of out our kitchen window ( I can't figure out how to rotate it now that it's posted, anybody know how?) , then there's the cherry tree out in our front yard, a huge icicle hanging off the shop, and I also wanted to show how much the snow has accumulated on the picnic table, then our neighbors around the bend made some canoeing snowmen, and the final shot is of across our yard to the neighbors. A wonderful Winter Wonderland!

Merry Christmas
and have a
Happy New Year!
